Would this go under fantasy?.
Well After a few weeks of down time A new piece of artwork from me.
Wanted to update these guys designs, seeing as every pic I've drawn of them ended up making them look like sonic characters. I had fun messing around with filters and making those textures.
I've learnt so much working on this pic, also now know how to use recorded actions on photoshop... would have saved hours of work if I'd found out about them earlier
I must say I'm rather proud of this pic, but looking at it finished there is a lot I don't like too, also for anyone using blending options remember always uncheck global Light... god, i didn't realise it changes the values for all layers!
the gems at the bottom were a last minute addition, personally I think their cool! can't help but think of final fantasy 12 when I look at them, I'm assuming thats kinda what the Fire/wind/dark/earth/water crystals would look like XD. I'll include character bios below, so be warned long winded description!

=========Warning Long Character Bios============
The Drac are a highly adaptable race of reptilian creatures, they can live for close to 1000 years, however this can not be confirmed due to their unique physiology all known forms of age testing are infective, and they themselves often loose count.
The Drac life cycle has five stages the first is the initial gestation stage whitin their egg, the shell of which is almost indestructible. this gestation period lasts a minimum of 4 years during which time, it's highly receptive surface reacts to the outside environment and alters the foetal Drac's dna accordantly, This is of great interest to scientists, and they are always on the look out for such eggs to conduct experiments.
After hatching the second two stages of it's life progress very similarly to that of a human child, however there ability to retain information and acquire skills is much faster, although unable to master anything without practice, they rarely have to be shown anything twice.
their adolescent phase is the stage they spend most their life in. in this stage they're body will more or less remain unaltered...
there is a final stage of their life where in their size increases immensely and they can no longer sustain bipedal movement, however it is unsure as how they reach this, many speculate they can only reach it by finding some kind of deep understanding of themselves....

Scorch:
She was hatched in an active volcano, due to the excessive heat her gestation period was one of the longest there for making her technically one of the youngest.
She is a happy go lucky carefree girl, she tries to remain positive and optimistic about most things, her loving and trusting nature often results in her being the butt of most of Wing jokes and Shades sarcastic remarks, which she usually shrugs off, she doesn't quite get the extent of Shade's sarcasm and believes her to be sincere.. although considered the most naive and passive member of the family, when severely irritated her family knows just how heated she can get... she always apologises though, and helps clean up after, she is also on first name terms with most of the fire service.

Wing:
He is the oldest of the drac having hatched first, he is a quick witted jester and on his own admission would rather be punched then to be told he wasn't funny (unfortunately he's not all that funny), being born on a mountain he is a natural glider, and is capable of the beautiful and stunning aerial displays (sometimes i wish he wasn't so dead set on his comedy career) although always making wise cracks and never taking much seriously he's actually probably the most intelligent member. he does downplay it quite alot though, the only one he really opens up to is shade seeing as they share a similar life view.

Shade:
sarcastic and crass as any human teenager, she is the most agile and her abilities lie in espionage and close range combat (she's a bit of a self proclaimed ninja) before she discovered her brothers and sisters she lived as a theif and as a result is known to have 'sticky fingers' she often just takes things without thinking, a bit of a kleptomaniac, dispite her moody attitude she does love her family, and god help anyone who endangers them, her respect for Wing is not really understood by the rest of the family, (seriously you wouldn't expect those two to get along) she claims that her abilities are superior to her kin, when asked what about Scorch's power she went as far to say breathing fire is cliché (me thinks she's just jealous). she also has a habbit of using 'Americanisms'

Rock:
Hard headed and thick skinned, he acts first and thinks later, often reprimanded by Shade for his 'impulsive idiocy', Rock thinks that all things can be solved by brute force, and is always looking for ways to show off, born deep within the mountains he has a natural talent for climbing, the hardest hitter of the bunch, Shade once tried to train him in the arts of fighting but later gave up stating 'it's like trying to get blood from a stone'. although he like to pretend he's rough and tough, he's a big softie and has never been able to turn down a request from his little sister Bubble. He also has a fondness for Karaoke (much to our misfortune).

Bubble:
And she is, bubbley I mean, a bit of a (chatter box to be honest) she gets frustrated that she is often overlooked when it comes to her family. She is at home in the water able to swim much faster than she can run, she's somewhat smug in the fact that is one thing her older sister Shade can't do, although Shade shrugs it off saying 'who needs to swim when you can run on water' (bubble personally haven't seen shade do either). Bubble has a sweet tooth and loves all sorts of confectionery (except liquorish, seriously who actually likes liquorice?) I'm not sure if Bubble can breath under water or not, but if she can't she can hold her breath for a really really long time. she is highly flirtatious and often uses her 'innocent' voice to get guys to do stuff for her, the only person she really confides in is rock (however this is not mutual, much to Rocks disappointment)

Sparkz:
Sparkz was the last to hatch, unable to speak coherently yet Scorch is the only one who claims to understand him, Sparkz loves his sister and is rarely far from her, and is usually seen playing hand held video games. no one really knows where Sparkz comes from or what his abilities are, but come on he's so Adorable!
